Google has announced that it is launching its own Browser tomorrow for Windows users, and Mac/Linux versions soon after. It will be called Google Chrome. I have not seen the Browser yet but I like what I am hearing from Google:
‘What we really needed was not just a browser, but also a modern platform for web pages and applications, and that’s what we set out to build.’
I think that this will be a Browser like the iPhone is a mobile phone! In other words it will be mould breaking and come some way to making the Browser the desktop, with Google’s suite of apps sitting just a button click away. It is a great and ambitious move and one that will set everyone else scurrying around. Really looking forward to testing it (and my hypothesis).
