The latest edition of ASTD’s T + D magazine has an interview with Bob Lawless the Chairman and CEO of McCormick and Company . That’s it, the spice people. It is one of a series of 15 CEO interviews about how companies link learning to success. It you are feeling that your company is ignoring you, and that you are knocking your sensitive learning head against a big corporate brick wall then read the magazine. It will cheer you up, albeit temporarily, before you wade back in to fight the good fight.
Just a thought: McCormick’s first value is integrity:
“We are open and honest in business dealings inside and outside the
Company. We are dependable and truthful and keep our promises.”
I wonder if most of the companies that put a high premium on learning are the ones that see themselves as values driven?
