I was reading a white paper from Sum Total on LMSs and came across this little gem:
"Philosophically, we recognize that the learning platform is rarely the center of our customers’ computing universe."
Philosophically we should also recognise that learning is rarely the centre of many companies’ universes.
Repeat that mantra everyday. It is a good lesson to remember . The solution is interoperability. That is, software talking to software and learning professionals totally comfortable with the language of the business they are part of.
