He spoke at Learning Technologies 2009. I know that this was in January but I wasn’t there, but I caught up via the podcast version. I have to say that it is a very good experience and it worked well for me and was a valid alternative to physical presence. (Wish I could have attended though).
The nub of George’s talk was:
“Learning is increasingly about building the capacity of an organisation to handle information and handle it well.”
If you draw the paramentres of learning too small, then you will be subsumed. His talk was about thinking big and broadly about learning. Any vision about organisational learning should be information centred and compelling.
