Desert Island Discs

Andy Kershaw on Desert Island Discs. Every song deeply familar but each one with a new angle and a new insight. He is one of the few people I have met with no front. He is on the radio as he is in person: enthusiastic, principled and wide-eyed about the world. I bet he is exactly the same as he was when he was 18. Listening to him, makes me realise how important self-belief is. Alongside continuing to drive forward and embrace the new. He says he has been lucky, but he is a classic example of someone who makes his own luck. Well done Andy.
