I have just been interviewed by Ideal TV for a business programme going out in a couple of weeks. Good interview proving, as I have always said, that the same issues are relevant all over the globe. The point is, I had to have full make-up for the interview and I have been asked to keep it on for filming this afternoon. So I am wandering around the hotel in make-up and getting some very strange looks all round particularly in the lift. But I am a stranger, I can’t speak Portugese and explain that it is for filming purposes. So I get the flash of curious repulsion, and I suddenly feel a double outsider, by culture and language but also by my own perceived behaviour.
