Astonishingly, I phoned Vodafone this morning and the ‘music whilst we connect you’ was the very same song I wrote about yesterday in Meme 1 below. What are the odds? That song is 25 years old and faded into obscurity 24 years ago. it cheered me up on a bleak phone problems morning.
Nic Price, always sharper than me, pointed out that this song is far from obscure. It was 18 in John Peel’s all time Festive 50 and even has a Wikipedia article dedicated to it!
