Neuroplasticity

Quote from Norman Doidge author of the Brain that Changes Itself

“Consciousness can direct genetic expression”

That little phrase is the hope for us all.  So back to my brain exercises to attempt to direct my genes. I say go, they say slow.

  1. This is a great quote since it encompasses so much. It first of all expresses how we’ve added to Darwin’s natural selection by recognizing that genes can be modified by environment. It acknowledges that consciousness can be a directed form of environmental stimulus. And it incorporates the concept of neuroplasticity — that individual the neural network isn’t fixed. Very nice. And very powerful!

Great advice. We are only just learning how important it is to take care of our brains.

I was so impressed that I contacted the research team and developed a software program using the same method. I’ve been using the training myself, of course, and the results are far from subtle. I can now tackle, and complete!, the Saturday crossword puzzle, for instance, when before I used to get stuck on Thursday.
